Bachelor of Music (BMus)
In Performance
Bachelor of Music in Performance is offered in every subject available as elective at ACCM. The BMus degree provides students with advanced level training in the skills, knowledge and understanding of music-making essential for a career as a professional performer, conductor or composer. This degree is accredited by the Bluefield College, Virginia and will be taught in collaboration with ACCM. Students will benefit from teachers nationally and internationally in this programme. The course is designed to meet the aspiration of every musician to achieve the professional standards. Bachelor of Music degree is a 3 year programme under which music performance will be the heart of the course. 800 credit hours are provided for the tuitions on this programme and additional 160 credit hours are given on live and real time performances.
- Year 1 & 2:
Intensive performance studies in principal and related instruments, with regular workshops for performance. This period is dedicated for the development of performance talents and theoretical knowledge.
- Year 3:
Third year comes up with the highest importance in the course as it will be gateway towards the professional world. The year is purely dedicated for the fine tuning of talents with demands of the modern world. The College offers a wide range of opportunities including outreach work, professional placements with a number of the region's professional orchestras and bands, during this period. Students will be given in assignments to perform with national and International musicians and bands.
